Which documents do I need for my application?

We want to keep the process as simple as possible. However, we do need some documents to get started. For the first step, an up-to-date and meaningful CV is sufficient. Sending additional documents is entirely up to you. How to get in touch with us is explained in the next question.

How do I apply?

You’re already on our careers page – so you’re almost there. Simply click on the jobs that interest you and apply via the “Apply” button. Here you can upload your CV and provide some basic personal information. Your application will then go directly to our Talent Acquisition Team.

Who should I address my application to?

It’s completely up to you whether you want to include a cover letter. Since we name a direct contact person in each job posting, you’re very welcome to address your application to them. We look forward to hearing from you! :)

How long will it take until I hear back from you?

You are at the center of our recruitment process – and that means we aim to provide you with transparent feedback as quickly as possible. Typically, we will get back to you shortly after receiving your application to give you an initial update. After each interview, we’ll also provide you with timely feedback. The timeline may vary depending on the role and the number of interview rounds, but in most cases you’ll know the next steps within about a week. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

What does the application process look like?

Our recruitment process is designed to give you a transparent and positive impression of us. We start with an initial conversation to get to know each other and discuss the key aspects of the role as well as your personal expectations. A fixed part of the process is a practical challenge, which allows both you and us to see how we would work together in real life. In addition, we conduct reference calls to gain a more complete picture. At the end, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your future team and experience the atmosphere at portagon first-hand – so both sides can be confident about starting a successful collaboration.

I haven’t received any feedback. What can I do?
